Subject: Looking for a 'painted' look base texture...

I have several Merchant Resource packs, including wonderful ones by Morris and Dalinise but am now wanting a more 'painted' as opposed to realistic look so can anyone recommend a good base texture for this? Thanks for any help :)

There used to be some free skin texture bases in Free Stuff that were painted. For M3 and V3. They could be used as merchant resources. I can't remember whose they were. I'll get check when I get home, if no one else knows.

Ecstacy has a merchant resource pack in the RMP for V3/M3 that is painted.

Silverlief Studios' "SS Texture Development Pack" was the first (I think) merchant resource produced a couple of years ago.

It's not the cheapest, but it's a full 50mb-worth of textures (all painted) for V1/2 and V3. This should provide what you're after.
