You used to. Head on over to Daz3d.com and you'll find her, her male counterpart and a anime type for FREE. Be prepared to become addicted. :) Welcome to Poser.

I think in fairness new people should be informed that the V3 system consists of three parts, the base, the morphs and the textures, each a separate purchase at a separate price. DAZ recently dropped the price of the base to zero. You still have to either live without textures and morphs, purchase the texture and morphs from DAZ, find other sources for the textures and morphs, or the best IMHO option: Learn to make textures and morphs. ::::: Opera :::::

And bruskasse, if you are still reading this thread, you may wish to consider learning to function in Poser with the default figures and tools until you can at least cloth, pose and render the Poser4/5 figures. If you go down the complex V3 path as a complete new Poser user, you may be taking on too much complexity too soon. ::::: Opera :::::

Another option is to scour Freestuff here and on other sites to find free V3 textures. There are some very good ones. If the textures come with morph injections, you will need the morph packs from DAZ, though. I endorse operaguy's suggestion about making textures. Not too sure about morphs, though, unless you're prepared to learn how to make custom morphs in a modelling application or tackle Poser magnets (which can be very daunting for a new user).

Yer right, Sam, morphs are advanced for a new person. I have been having fun learning to do it lately and got a little over-happy! Poser-trueSpace-Poser hurrah! ::::: Opera :::::

bruskasse ( ) posted Fri, 25 February 2005 at 1:02 PM

But how do I apply skin, clothes and stuff to the model?

operaguy ( ) posted Fri, 25 February 2005 at 1:06 PM

hi bruskase, I thought you uninstalled Poser? No? applying textures (skin) = Page 74 (which in turn refers you back to "Part 2, 3D Basics on page 23." ::::: Opera :::::

operaguy: I cant give up that easily.. They would tease me..What book are you refering to? I dont have it. Thanx for helping me out here :) If you have it, maybe that you will mail it to me? Hope so.. Is DaZstudio of any help?

operaguy ( ) posted Fri, 25 February 2005 at 1:30 PM

bruskasse, I am referring to the User Manual for Poser. It is not available separately from the program, only comes with Poser, so I can't mail it to you. DazStudio is a differnt application and must be learned on its own. It won't help you learn Poser. ::::: Opera :::::

Yes, however with the V3 SAE (that's free) there are SOME morphs included.

Yes Pablo, they did. Bruskasse, you should have the manual in PDF format. Should be in the Poser 5 main folder.
