This image was taken by my wife yesterday when she took a day trip to NY with "the girls". She was disappointed that the shot wasn't sharp. I told her that in my opinion this is the best shot she has ever taken. I mean this shot just wows the hell outa me! I love it!

Whether you love it or hate it please post your comments and why. I want to let her know how others feel about her work.

Shot with a Fugi 4700 while walking, I have no other EXIF data. Resized in PS but untouched otherwise.

TIA
Magick Michael

yeah, has that "impressionistic/surrealistic" kinda feel to it...

Hmmm .. don't love it, but I think hate is too strong a word. Don't really like it all that much. To me, this kind of motion blur denotes a frenetic energy. Sort of something I'd equate if this were like "rush hour" and there were more people all around. Everyone just looks like they're out for a nice, relaxing stroll. Not enough tension for me to justify the blur. -=>Donald

i don't love it or hate it either. IMO, she came really close to a fantastic creation, but to me it's just not quite there. i'm sorry i can't explain more. but really, if YOU love it, then it's a success!

Hi Michael! Well it does have an impressionistic/painterly quality to it. And I like how the little girls red dress pops out of the crowd. I'm somewhat neutral about the image myself.... what I find most interesting again is the little girl in the red coat.... I cropped it down to see what it looked like. Not saying that's what you should do, but simply my perspective on it. :~)

I am, therefore I create.......
