You can get V(ictoria)3 and M(ichael)3 from the above link for free. Almost always if you buy a figure etc. the installer puts everything in the right folder. If you want to change the default locations you have to do it manually.Assuming you are doing it with the morph packages and any texture: Adjust the dials until you achieve the results you want then save as a Pz3 file. if you intend to make you own morphs from scratch, you will need a good modeling program and a lot of time.
I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
I don't know about Cinema 4D. Regarding the clothes, if you are using Poser 5 there are two possibilities; Conforming Clothes and Dynamic clothes. The dynamic clothes you find usually in the props directory and the conforming clothes in the figures directory. After loading a conforming cloth you must conform it to the figure so the cloth moves with your figure. You do this with the menu "figure, conform to..." Then choose the correct target figure, lets say your V3. BTW these are basic operations you will find in the manual.
You can certainly user C4D to create clothes for Poser characters. The R9 release with the add-on Mocca module makes it a lot easier. But... creating clothes for Poser is definitely not the easiest thing to do. From my own experience I would suggest modelling some simple props first, seeing how they work in Poser and what you need to do to get them from Cinema to Poser at all, before trying to make clothes.

Hello: This may be a dumb question but here goes. Does anyone know where to get this V3 charater that you can get cloths and props for? Also is there any free tool that you can use to place all the poser files in the right directories. it seems pretty lame that Curious labs does not have a built in tool that will reorganize this stuff, or at least build a cache of where everything is so it can find it all. I spent too much time one evening trying to organize the files and place them in the right directories. I only had partial luck. thank you in advance. -pete
