I see on eons site vue4 is 69 dollars I have bryce 5 already...is this version stable, worth it? Please try to be objective...I know nothing about vue except that it is similar to bryce. Thanks

Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I don't have Vue 4, I have 3.1. Vue 4 claims to import pz3 files, Bryce doesn't. The major differences I have found is Bryce has a more powerful skylab than vue. Vue renders faster and has slightly better better vegatation. Cameras are easier to use in Bryce. They improved in Vue 4 I like both

I used Bryce 5. Not very satisfied. I tried Vue 4 and switched almost instantly to using it, then bought Vue 5: the advanced lightning (Global Illuminations, radiosity etc) are at a level with MORE expensive professional packages so I think it's a better tool for making my images, and as soon as possible I'll go for Vue5Infinite.

I think you are the most objective person yourself. So simply go and download the demo and try that out. This is the best way to find out wether it suits you i think.

yes I will try the demo ...I was just looking for input from people that actually have used non limited versions to see if the program is stable...at 69 bucks it will be more than functional for me....Thanks

as for stability which was your question, vue4 (latest update) is rock solid except for opengl which you shoudnt bother using :) so if stability is all youre concerned with get it, and once you can afford it upgrade to v5e.

Vue 4 is very stable indeed and I found it much better then Bryce 5.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....
