Well Ive been using Bryce and like it. Ive tried Vue and it's like writing html code, there might be more to it, I didnt spend alot of time with it, I thought it sucked.

Well I like Bryce .. can't use vue since it is PC anyway but I have never been that fond of the renders ... they do have nice trees

I'm sure there are pros and cons to each but as far as I know 'Bryce' is VERY easy to learn and use and the render quality is FAR better. I've never used 'Vue' so my opinion may be biased but I can't imagine any programme being better value alround than 'Bryce'. GG

Why don't you get the demos for both and see which you prefer? I prefer Bryce because that's what I started with and I'm lazy. If you look around you will find wonderful work done with both programs. I have to say that in some ways Vue's 4 way windows can be a distinct advantage, as is the presence of foliage. Bryce seems to have a "harder" look to its renders as opposed to the "softer" feel from Vue (sorry, don't know how else to describe it). This seems more suitable for my style but if I were more interested in a "natural" look I might prefer Vue. People claim that Vue's renders are substabtially faster then Bryce's. I don't think you will go terribly wrong with either. Pick the one that best suits your style and way of working.

Bryce is more full-featured and user-friendly. And the texture & terrain engines are simply the best around. It does not, however, do greenery very well. Many people have come up with ways to 'fake it' to get trees, bushes, grass, etc. but it IS more work. Vue handles greenery better... it even includes some built-in tools for handling that stuff. Renders are faster, but IMHO of lower quality, although I think it does support soft shadows (wish Bryce would do that!). Also, the user interface is a bit obscure, and the textures/materials are ho-hum. Vue is earlier on in the product development than Bryce... if they continue to develop it well, it could become much better.
