I think I tried that one - didn't realize it was so expensive. Here's one for only $99.95 - you can use it free with only 46 styles. I think there was an even cheaper one called HairDo or something that allowed you to export the hair images and some people used it with Poser.

there is a program called Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover... the first version used targa image files...easy to paste inot a poser scene... the later ones could be useful, but not as easy..you have to do a lot of editing to get the hair out, the hair files are embedded in a proprietary format...but probably easy for you PS experts... the price is LOWWWWWWW

heh..it's the 'network effect' (you get a pair of pliers for $5.95, but put the word 'network' on it, and you can charge $20..;) If you could figure out how Koz does his, that'd be all you needed..;)

Dunno if it (HairPro) can be used w/Poser though. From the FAQ page: "You don't have permission to use the hairstyles pictures or the model's photo in the Internet or any other media." Sorta rules out any art, I should think.

Bummer. The model I can understand. I guess they think someone will rip off the hair. The hair doesn't look very good when you enlarge it to the size of a Poser render anyway. You'd have to do a lot of work on the edges and blending it with the render. It could be a good base I suppose but I think you're still going to be doing a fair amount of painting. Someone had some free hair pics like this, may have been here in freestuff. I think they were for putting on a plane prop with transparency and rendering in Poser. You can make your own if you can find the photos. The problem with this technique would seem to be that your figure's face would have to be in the same orientation as the person in the picture. With all the blending and color matching and lighting issues, I'd say you're better off with one of the many fine free hair pieces unless it's a unique style and you're usually do a lot of hair postwork anyway.
