Hi everyone I have been thinking up ways to develop a portion of my website that is specifically geared towards the male figures of poser. I've thought for quite a while that the poser guys are rather neglected when it comes to textures, clothing, hair, props, etc, while vicky and her poser sisters get all the attention. If you think about it, for every one accessory you find for m3 or the other guys, in any marketplace or free section (whether it be here or anywhere else), there's 10 to 20 of them out there for v3. So I want to make a site that revolves around the guys. I'm not going to limit it strictly to nothing but guys and guy stuff, but I want the focus to be on them, so that maybe the scales will start getting a little more balanced. Currently i have 1 gig of storage space and 100gb of bandwidth per month. Depending on how well things go and how fast it develops I might be expanding that in the near future. Right now I have just myself working on this, and unfortunately I don't even have anything to really show you, but I'm posting this as a sort of call for contributing artists who are interested in helping out. I know there are a few other sites out there already that focus on poser males, but when visiting them you'll find that not only do they not really offer much in the way of content but most are very outdated, and seem to be all but abandoned. And since renderosity doesn't host files for the free section and hasn't in a while, this could also be a chance for those of you out there who need a place to host your stuff for others to access. Anyone that might be interested in this, or might want to offer some suggestions, you can post here, or e-mail me directly. E.D.

May I ask hat your URL is? Would be cool to see some more male figures like Michael 3. I find stuff for Michael very lacking. ;)

Are you planning a family-rated site? I know there's a male-only site with a penguin but I can't access it from work due to the nature of some of the objects. It would be nice to have a G-R, but not X rated site for the guys. As long as we're asking...I would love to see more shoes for Mike and David. I know women usually have about 10 pairs to each 1 pair the guys have (I used to be that bad!) but there just doesn't seem to be much other than combat boots, sports shoes, sandals, or very boring dress shoes. Where are the tassels?

Gosh, I spent the better part of the last 6 months creating a male poser site with concentration towards the male figures on poser and due to the TOS here I can never mention its URL...

My site is up and running and has over 1000 users on it, forums, freebies, links and a complete concentration on the male poser figures, including DAZ's M3, D3, Freak and Luke YT.

If any of you are interested, its called MalePoserotica.com and it has a free membership which protects underaged people from getting into the galleries.

I have no intention of making this site "erotic male" anything. Because its poser, it will most-likely have nude images here and there, considering we are dealing with naked human anatomy, but as far as it being erotic or sexually themed beyond gender, no. But at the same time i would not deny someone who wanted to host, for example, some male pose sets which could be considered erotic or sexually oriented.

My idea for this site is to expand the male character accessories closet, basically. Clothing, items, character textures, things like that. It will be categorized by theme. Example themes would be Medieval/Fantasy; Sci-Fi; Casual/Every day or Modern, etc. It would also be a place to host tips, techniques and tutorials for poser and other applications. An image gallery is not likely at this point, but possible, depending on how i design the site and what i find my limits are. And I'm playing with the idea of adding a marketplace to it, once I get enough people involved. As for the invite to your site, profotograf, I will definately check it out.

The site wasn't really intended to be totally in the direction of male porn or homoerotic works, however a combination of the male poser figures and erotica. Unfortunately MalePoser.com was taken and I couldn't think of anything else that would have worked or would have been available that people could remember or find. I am currently opening up a major website for ALL poser figures, but will seriously push the male figures as well. The site will be fully ready by the start of April, and will be hopefully very successful... Not sure, but I am also going to be selling male photo-reference sets of European male models to help people make some more photo textures. I think you should look at my site MalePoserotica before you re-invent the wheel. Otherwise I am wasting my precious time doing this.

A combined site with lots of male characters and clothing for the Poser guys would be wonderful! Maybe it would be easier to team up under a different name. I do not mean any offense to you profotograf, but the site name of MalePoserotica is going to get blocked by a lot of business and library computers. Unfortunate, but a fact of life. Also, if you plan to market items there, I doubt you will be able to use PayPal with that name--they are ultra (way too in my mind) conservative with what they allow their name to be attached to. I'll be checking the site out after I get home.

Very good profotograf. You have good ideas, and similar to what I have in mind. I too would like to be able to make available some photo reference sets. I have a great digital camera and am somewhat known for being the best photographer in the family. (though not professional of course). The only problem is that I lack the money to pay the models to take their photos. I do hope that if/when you get started on your photo references project, you choose better models than the guy at 3d.sk - i like the concept of his site, but his male models are extremely lacking (i think there's like 4 of them total), and the best one there desperately needed a bath before the photo shoot. Its obvious that he prefers to photograph women than men, but since his customers pay for access to his site, he should take as much care in photographing the men as he does the women. Anyway, i'm straying from the subject. If you'd like, we could compair notes and see if its possible to team up on a site or project like this. Let me know. E.D.
