Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 06 7:01 am)
Only Poser 5+ can use subfolders within the folders. In everything else, only this works: Runtime -- libraries ---- character ------ folder1 ------ folder2 etc. Any deeper and it is ignored by Poser.
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.

P3do explorer is free and you can move and rename files, So far I have not had trouble with it. My folders are like that too. Shortening the list is crazy hard. So far all mines a mess to lol but I'm working on it. I had it down to the limited 250 but now lmbo lets just say I have alot of reorganizing to do. Would be lost without p3do explorer though.....completely. I like that you can see the thumbs too that helps. As for the how to's and what for's of organizing......good luck I think we all at one point or another have a system that works....temporarily ;) Well at least that's how it is for me.
And it looks like Poser 6 is going to expand on this even further:
First glimpse of the enhanced library system?

Using Poser Artist; my pose directory has gotten so out-of-hand with folders I need some way of managing it. Ive tried sorting it out with HAIR MAT Fred Hair CLOTHES MAT She-Freak, !V3 Character etc. and some of the folders are so stuffed with .rsr and .ps2 files and the list is so bloated that I get about 90% down the list and the ability to select down there just does not work. I understand there is a program called: Pbooost, but financially Im going to have to curtail my poser finances for a few months and Pbooost might be overkill for me. Does anyone know if poser (through XP) has the ability to read into Sub-folders. So I could do something like: MAT V3 Clothes/Dresses/(20 folders of MAT settings for dresses) Instead of stuffing everything into a closet like I am doing?
