Subject: Anyone know of any good freebie sites?

brobb355 ( ) posted Wed, 09 March 2005 at 10:47 PM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 9:38 PM

Hi there. I am a beginner artist with Poser as my canvas. I wish to expand my collection of props, characters, and scenes so that I can produce maximum creativity in my work. Does anyone know where I can find good freebie props and the like? I have already downloaded desired freebies from R'osity, RDNA, DAZ3D.COM and a few other places (over 1 GB of free stuff) and I want to get more. I hope to get new inspiration from your replies. I will post new images as inspiration and time allows. Thanks.

Oh gawd...

Check out Kozaburo's site at Digitalbabes2.com. It's in the sidebar, near the top. Lots of free hair there and it's all nice. For free textures for hair go to www.poserheaven.de and check out what Wehnke has there.

Cool weekly props are available at www.sams3d.com.

The list is endless, but if you go through the links in the sidebar and in the web ring itself you'll find more freebies than you can shake a stick at.

I oughta know. I've been collecting 'em since I came to the Poser community and right now I'm up to about 11,000 freebies and 16 gig, all of which I'm sorting thru to transfer from CD to DVD.

Have fun! :)

MeshFactory.com is a very useful site + 3D-Resources.com is also good too. I visit these sites often.

It would help to know where your interests lie. I've got some things up at my site. It's mostly scifi oriented stuff, though if you're not into that there's still a few things that might interest you, such as my restaurant, tavern, or penthouse scene sets.:) http://poserpros.daz3d.com/forums/index.php Check out the Free Stuff Club forum (it's not actually any sort of club, so ignore the name). It's a forum instead of a regular free stuff section, but there are some good things hidden away there. http://www.poserfreebies.com/ This is sixus1's free stuff area. You might find some interesting things there, depending on what you're into. If you're into erotica, Renderotica would be the place to go. Animotions has some comics and scifi stuff.

PlanIt 3D has shedloads of freebies, both in the members downloads section and completely free to the community.

I'm surprised that I got so much response in just one day! Thanks to all who posted links, I will definitely check these sites out. In response to x2000's post, I'm not really into the sci-fi props, but I like some of the scenes that come from that category. I've been looking for clothing props, scenes, furniture, and hair (really want good hair, some of the freebie hair props aren't good, as in realistic). I hope to get some great ideas on how to utilize the items I get from this post. Thanks again and please keep 'em coming

If you want excellent free hair there's only one place to go for starters...

Kozaburo's site.

Thank you FreeBass for posting the Studio Maya site, I really liked most of the hair props there. These will give me some more variety in my characters. Thanks again and please keep posting, these freebies are giving me some good ideas.
