first I went to the nursing home with the idea if elderly care, I didn't exactly lie but **one** day I may look into one for my father but I doubt it, got a real nice tour by the administrator, lots of photo gut-wrenching opportunities, but I was informed when I asked if I could take pics that it was a federal law not to take photos of any of their residents, I left thinking it was a fairly nice nursing home & glad that those people were protected by photo junkies like me :P

So I went to the TX. Dept. of Health "planned parenthood" office,
& took a photo of their literature in the waiting room,
no one else was there except for the nurse in her office & left :]

oh, gawd, not this subject.... Our eldest has just recently started on the subject of the 'S' word. Saturday morning wor lass takes the youngest into dance class. The biggun, sitting in the back of the car, suddenly pipes up "So how do lesbians get pregnant then?" At that moment I realised I was in for a fun day ;-) (".)

Great image Cyn and clever text to go with it. I love your story on how you got it the image. Care for the elderly would have been a good one too, but I think you can have more "fun" with this one, if that's the right word. :)

I spring to Attention and salute You PDA....sigh... and I see Smugoons is getting ready for a Trip down Under. Wow! PDA...You think of everything....even a Trojan Repair Kit....should Smugoons get a Blow Out! Way to go PDA! No wonder that Earthling Woman is Chubby....look at the "Smarties" in the Blue Box...what a Temptation. I, of course fall into the Abstinence Category...and tell My Son to Pull His Head in....or all the Air will rush to His Feet....but don't jerk Him....it may set off His Nozzle. salute

This is wonderful, Cindy!!!! I love how you presented this with humor!!!!!! a "federal" law you can't take pics of nursing home residents?? guess things have changed. back when i was volunteering about 15 years ago there was never any problem with that. I have TONS of pics of the residents!! Of course back then there wasn't a problem with bioterrorism either! Fantastic entry, Cindy!!!!!

now..how about PETA? Tom. I love animals and demand rights for them but simply do not go the peta route..too extreme. I will...well, lets wait and see.

tvernuccio ( ) posted Thu, 10 March 2005 at 10:32 PM

i agree Tom. i love animals and have volunteered with the Humane Society, but PETA is is too extreme for me. I've read they've gotten violent at times, and i don't dig that at all.

salute THC!!! :-* he's definitely his father's son! i'm not ready to be a grandmother yet! oh mickey, you're in for so much fun!! thankfully my own daughter is well past that stage but i do miss it sheila, maybe it'd be different if i worked there... but i was pleased to know that they don't just let anyone off the street come in & take pics of granny & grampy drooling PETA? are you asking these services be offered to animals too tom? i think they are in larger cities... neuter/spay & shot specials... & i dislike any organizations that "invade" my space too

I picked me up a few free condoms today at a social services waiting room, but then I changed my mind and gave them back. I change my mind alot. I do hope I get lucky before I get more grey hairs and require viagra, and then I'll regret that decision. Nice of you to help educate the young aliens out there. Most Excellent Entry. -Jeff :-)

Tibby, It stands for People Eating Tame Animals - some kind of religious cult popular among Broadway actors in the US at the moment. (",)

LMAO...... Oh Mikey is so BAD!!

PETA...... People for Ethical Treatment of Animals..... their heart is in a good place, but they do go overboard....

I think these are the group that would throw paint on people wearing fur coats?
