Subject: Jack Daniels bottle

Hello All,

I am quite new to the Poser world and have been slowly plodding along through the maze that is Poser. I am gradually building up a collection of models for use in my renders, but one item that I see cropping up in some of the gallery images but I have been unable to find is the Jack Daniels bottle. I have done a search on the Renderosity free stuff site and can't find it there, and I have done a search of the forum and checked out all of the suggested websites to try and find it but with no luck. Does anyone know where I can find this item?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hmmm, it seems like I found it here in freestuff, but can't remember. You might try 3dcommune's freestuff too.

My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice!

A member with the nickname "frilledlizard" may have one.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have checked a number of sites (3d Commune, Poserworld, Daz3d, RDNA, Poserpros) and have had no success. I have searched the free stuff here, and have manually gone through a number of the pages (but not all 800 or so yet!) but I have still had no luck. nabob21

Since the sweep of "copyrighted" free stuff you might not be able to find it anymore... however this set in the mp has a real good "look alike" http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=29391 BTW there is cool stuff in this pack that you might find of use... mes

Anything coming close to trademark was removed. It was uploaded by frilledlizard. You could IM him but according to my search he hasn't logged in since January 9th.

Well I don't blame them for being concerned about trademarks but this 'approved' one day and 'not approved' the next will continue to drive people away. It didn't occur to me that a background prop could be such a concern.

I have a scotch bottle (with the wonderful help of Aneas) on my site if you want to go grab it. It comes with a Glenlivet label but it's mapped to let you make your own label.

There is a bottle that looks very much like Jack Daniels in a set called Cozy Corner by "faveral". It's not a freebie but I can highly recommend the set if you care to buy it.(: BTW, it is sold here in the Marketplace.

It's very well done, a nice piece of modelling work, but it looks so much like Jack Daniels that I would advise caution in selling that anywhere. Maybe, just to avoid a "trade dress" infringement case, they could redo the label slightly, or contact Jack Daniels for permission to sell an exact replica of their merchandise.

OH, GIVE IT A FRELLING REST, AND QUIT BEING SO FRELLING PARANOID!! Jack Daniels legal staff have MUCH more important things to do than hassle some minor 3D artist who make a clone of the label. They are MUCH MORE in the ones that try making clones of what's behind the label.

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.
