Subject: I'd like some Chinese food

Not to eat... Well not too often. I mean for Poser! I'd like a wok and/or Chinese food boxes. Maybe even some food props too. All your help is appreciated.

ExpandingWave has authentic Japanese items, but many of them would also fit Chinese settings. You'll find chopsticks and rice bowls under free items... click "smooth catalog" at the top and "free stuff" on the left menu). Under "utensils and small stuff" you can find more dishes, and under "furnishings" you might see something usable. I have a couple of items like the Shodo set, and they are of very high quality. Some things are in vue or 3ds format, so inquire if you will have a problem importing or are wondering how to get it in another format. Carolly

Sekhmet and avalontree did Chinese vases. Baument and royloo had lanterns... and shadownet had a chinapak with a pole-type festival lantern. Zippo and a few other people have made gongs. SAMS and cooler both made rickshaws. (I'm using past tense, because I don't know what is still available.) There have been theme months at PoserPros and DAZ where some commercial stuff was offered. The clothing wasn't very authentic and many items were just labeled "oriental", but you might find something there. This link is to royloo's site. Carolly

both rickshaws are still available & I also have a hanging lantern, temple, pagoda, & oriental style gong & striker in my freebies in Poser Free stuff at 3D Commune. Here's your "take out box" (it also comes with a plastic knife & spork :-) I still have to do some fine tuning on the joint parameters & hack the cr2 but it's all UV mapped & the lid opens/closes. If I have time today I'll finish it up & do a traditional hammered iron wok & attendant utensils (lid, strainer, ladle, brush, fire ring, etc). If not today possibly by Tuesday. I'll post up to this thread to let you know when they are done.

Ooooh! Excellent! We just had Thai food after a long day hiking... our idea of a pepper-upper involves red ones? ;^) I like the dragon, too. Carolly

otay I'm taking a break from modelling & had a chance to rat through my "finished but unreleased" stuff.

If you check out the hotlink above there's a Japanese tea room I did for orio and I found an oriental style dressing screen with 4 different panel inserts as well as the two texture maps shown.

either are available if yopu send me an email at coolerbear@att.net & I'll ship them back by return mail.

dressing screen= (cr2 format 600K zipped, panels "smart" propped pp2 the louvered panel has an open-close morph, textures & templates included)

tea room= (480K zipped pp2 format textures & templates shown included) edited to include URL :-)

Howdy folks, otay the wok is done & uploaded. It's based on a wok given to me as a gift, from my Wing Chun, instructor when I left. note: everything is "smart" propped to the wok base & prescaled to P4 people. (270K zipped, pp2 format, individual templates included, render shown is P4 aux camera, default lighting, untextured using only P4 reflection maps) infinity10- use the same FTP address as before just substitute WokStuff for tearoom (case sensitive)
