Subject: March Challenge

It has been done,but this is a sore point with me,and many. Every dead end or vacant lot there is more of this,as dump fees and recycle costs skyrocket. The only sad part is what these fees contribute to is shipping the trash off to smaller towns in secluded areas of our province and make big landfills out of them.Do you want your house built on methane.Not me.

a good shot...almost looks staged except i know it isn't...i've seen scenes like this myself...i don't know about you, but i don't think the dump/recycling fees are that high...but maybe its just people's lack of values/priorities that cause this?

I was driving down by Fraser River today at the south of Main St.Vanvouver and no lie this is how it sat.There was so much more all the way down to the river.

& you wonder why grocery store prices rise with people running off with their shopping carts all the time... a homeless person could set up house with this stuff :] like the double meaning of "dead end"

Grrr.... nothing pisses me off more than seeing this...... except maybe trash laying on the side of the road. I live in a beautiful rural area, and we constantly see beer bottles, and fast food bags laying off on the side of the road. Ignorant bastards don't want the shit dirtying in their cars so they throw it out and dirty up our neighborhoods?? So IGNORANT!!!!

oh man doug...this is on all your dead-end streets? that's awful!!!! and it seems to be a problem without a solution. sigh.

Even the solutions are not solutions. It has gotten so bad in places here, that after the week-long community service clean up efforts took place, a huge dumpster was placed permanently at one of the major dump sites. One of the local businesses pays to have it dumped weekly. In spite of everyone's efforts, the morons who continue to use the site can't seem to get their garbage in the dumpster. We're talking huge here. You could drive a car into it. No excuses!
