Well, I finally got the 3rd box in my rendergarden back up. Turns out that the -real- problem was the no-name DDR memory stick. Passed all the =software= tests I threw at it, but it would BSOD on attempts to install Win2k. So that's a good 3 weeks lost to a 30 second fix...... On the other hand, that means the old mobo is perfectly good, and all I need are a few parts and I can build a 5th box... :D Next week is when I'll probably be offline for a couple of days rebuilding the older system with a socket 939 Athlon 64. Gotta be ready to use the dual core chips when they surface. Oh, and those who are considering buying Intel boards in anticipation of their dual core release had better do some reading. It seems that the current LGA 775 boards that use the 915 and 925 chipsets aren't going to be compatible with the dualy P4's.... Oops. Here's the article. www.theinquirer.net/?article=21793
