This is the first draft, as it were. The finished model will have moving hatches, landing gear and radar assemblies in POSER form. Used the pre-canned shaders without texture maps. Well, any comments ?

Are you planning to convert it to an interactive 3D web format, like VET or Cult3d? The various parts can be programed to move when clicked. That would allow others to take their own giant leap for mankind. ;-) SMcQ

I know absolutley nothing about going from Carrara/Raydream to Poser with moving parts. Is there a good tutorial or two that could shed some light on it for me? Thanks! Mark

Very nice looking. How about a quibble? The length of the ladder would change the quote form "a small step for a man" to "one hell of a step for a man".

a coula of other quibbles: the texture on the descent stage needs to be wrinkled, as it was covered with a gold foil; the lander's legs were wrapped with foil, as well. http://images.jsc.nasa.gov/iams/html/pao/apollo.htm a great link with tons of images from all the Apollo lunar missions. Otherwise, a great start on the model. Can we expect to see it on the lunar surface? tim

Excellent Model! I like the fact that it looks fairly detailed already. When you do your final composition try to have lander a bit large and towards the front! I hate it when someone does a cool model and its far off in the distance...you have all that cool detail...show it off! :)
