If you think it is boring then give your head a shake heheh. Not one bit in my opinion. All the details remain in tact and the B&W does it justice. Lose that dot above roof and it is even better.
"The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the
absence but in the mastery of his passions."
Your wish is my command! I shall see to it that the moon is no more, LOL. Cause thats what the dot is...the moon..we have such weird winters in sweden...

boring??? are you out of your mind, Andreas???? no way, Jose! i luv pictures like this!!! i have a lot of images of old barns; i take a lot of them 'cause i'm fascinated with them. the older the better! yeah, i luv the simplicity of this and it definitely comes across as elegant. i love that subtle cool green pastel in this. i think it adds to the coldness, and strange, but i almost see the wind blowing here. LOL...must be close to my bedtime. eyes are playing tricks on me maybe? there's only one tiny little bitty thing about this one that bothers me a bit. i love the framing a lot, but on the right, you see how close the frame is to the barn? that bugs me. dunno why. makes me feel a bit clausterphobic (sorry...can't spell). if it were me, i would take out that inner thin line altogether. but that's just me. i'm weird about things sometimes. other than that, i think it's perfect and not boring at all!
That is also a good suggestion Sheila, thank you. If only i can find that Photoshop-file, so that i could just remove that layer....id hate to clone that thing out, LOL. You mentioned something about a green tone.....you really need to go to bed now #:op That should be all B/W.

Andreas, don't feel you need to take it out. it's just MY opinion. maybe the others might not think the same as me. it's just a little bitty thing anyway. yep...would be a pain to clone it out for sure! there's no green tone? what? funny, in Pascale's image she mentioned a green tone and i thought it was yellow. sigh. rubbing eyes Yep...still see green. no green lighting? no green at all??? making note to call to make appointment to get eyes checked :)
Okey...now youre freaking me out Sheila....is it my eyesight that has gone bad or yours???? Now im worried!!! Please, i think we need some more feedback on this matter....is it green or not???? I urge you all to give us your opinion....my wife always accuse me of being colourblind when it comes to clothes.....so why wouldnt i be wrong this time as well....sigh...heeeeelp....who has the worse sight here: me or Sheila????

It's a difference in monitor calibrations.... monitors will not only be darker or lighter than they should be, but they can also give off green, blue, or magenta type casts ..... I don't see green.

Oh and nice image..... I like these old worn out structures myself.....

This has a real rustic feel to it. I would actually like to see the COLOR version myself! Wood sometimes has such awesome colors tones(this image has me wondering!) I agree with DOUG on the "MOON". When I saw it, at first I thought it was some lens flare or maybe something on the lens itself. Never woulda guessed that. I'm still learning about framing images...thru trial and error...haven't quite got it to my liking yet. I like the THIN line, but the main frame seems a bit too THICK and kind of overwhelms the image. (IMHO) Joe
THANK YOU MICHELLE!!!!! Phew...im not colourblind after all....And thank you Joe, I do have a way of overwhelming my pictures with my silly frames....this time i though i was keeping it subtle though, LOL. Hehe...this sure was a neat forum. Who would have suspected Id get any response to all my questions. A bunch of fine people in here indeed.

LOL!!! Ah, if you only knew how many of these old barns we have near our house. If i were to stand on our frontporch i would probably count at least 10...and some of them are way cooler than this one. But i will have to shoot them this summer, dont want to go through that deep snow to get to them....stupid season...

A long time ago they served as a place where they stored their carriages with water in case of a fire. Also carriages to transport corpses...yuk. And we have one right next to our mailbox. Ill show ya later....unless you bann me or something for just rambling away like this...blah blah blah...ah well, back to work....LOL, yeah right!!!! Browse browse browse...nothing like earning your pay browsing the net for fun...hehe..sorry for rubbing it in Sheila...hehe...

I agree with both Doug, about the 'lil moon that should be removed, and Sheila about that thin line of the frame that should be removed too! Actually, not SHOULD, but it would look better for my taste without these 2 'lil distracting things! Other than that, this is far from being boring and I totally love that shot!! I too have a fascination for old stuff!! So, yep, IMHO, go for it, and upload it in ur gallery!! Yep! ;) Love that last one too!!
beautiful image andreas.. top b/w.. its far from boring and has a real sense of abandonment..agree with whats been said remove the little dot..and line of the frame it cuts the what l call the looking room..breathing space..apart from that go for it... :) hugs and stuff... Nikki

Suppose you want a PROPER one too? lol Nah, it's all pretty much been said. Although I am amazed that the Yanks here accept these as being big enough to be called barns..... as I'm led to believe they've got bigger bird-houses...... bet they have in New York anyhows ;-) snigger -Private joke you guys, ignore it- (",)
I really like that Spruthus, Andreas! looks old and rundown, and i like that. To me, it has more character than the first barn you posted. would be fun to work on this one and see what i can do. do you mind if i play with this a bit??? ok, you've defnitely inspired me to post some of my barn shots!!!! thanks for showing!!! :)
LOL! Go for it Sheila!!!! #:o)
