Why drive a virtual tank, when you can own "a completely unique, extremely rare land vehicle and battle tank" with surround sound and PA, observation deck, and full plate armor? IMHO, it needs a bit more weight... "Item Weight: 1100.00 pounds" seems a tad light. I'd opt for mirror-glazed side panels and other offensive accouterments... although 400 watts of Die Valkure might get the message across. If not, I have 3 CDs of gregorian chant. :terrifyingly evil grin: Carolly

Did April 1st come early this year? One would wonder after reading the reviews. =)

Nah! I suspect that it is a real vehicle, reviews aside,... but the resale value would be really low. Anybody who got it for the gag or to impress the neighbors would want to unload it as soon as the shock value wore off and he topped off the gas tank for the first time.

hey, a caddy weighs more than that thing. my old dodge aspen weighed more than that.

And I suspect that my Volvo not only can take an impact better, but also corner without flipping. However, with something like this you don't worry about impact because the other cars will move out of the way... all except the little old lady from Pasadena who is driving an old Dodge or Chevy with 2 tons of steel at a half-mile-an-hour under the speed limit. ;^) Now someone (mayor or amusement concessioner or whatever enterprise) who lived near a military base which was being closed might consider ordering a double handful of these... cheaper by the dozen? They aren't street legal, so a good chunk of paved private land is needed: bases have a large amount of pavement. Paint them slightly different colors or have battle insignia on them. For "a small fee" customers can whirl them around the arena and blast each other with loud music and flashing lights... maybe even have small canisters of evil-colored smoke to add a hazard and suitable ambience to the course. There are several different sorts of games similar to what players do when online (race, tag, capture, secure). Military communities tend to have gung-ho residents, so a good customer base is there. Instead of sneaking through the underbrush with a paintball gun, one can try to be as intimidating as possible while driving a tank. Let's say that the profit (after gas and maintenance) averaged $500/day each (remember that each of these can seat 5, and $20 for 15 minutes is less than a round of golf), it would only take a couple of weeks in the summer to pay for themselves. What I wouldn't do to have a referral link on one of those puppies. :) 5% of $25,000...

Ummm....why is the shipping weight more than the item? Item Weight: 1100.00 pounds. Shipping Weight: 1300.00 pounds. Ya mean the box is 200 lbs?! {and I bet ya money ya have to put it together...} ROTFL

I doubt that they pack it in peanuts and cardboard. ;^) If I were delivering these, they'd have a cushioned framework around them, and travel on the back of a flatbed truck. Drive safely to the destination with nothing shifting or breaking, unbolt the frame on the back of the flatbed, and slide the puppie down off the ramp and onto the new owner's parcel. Doing it with the vehicle exposed like this also raises public awareness, better than advertising. And a couple hundred pounds for a secure frame seems reasonable to me. Carolly
