Subject: How's this likeness? Not Alan Alda...

Photopium ( ) posted Fri, 18 March 2005 at 11:37 AM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 8:02 AM

Been working on Inna for a long time now, tweaking this and spinning that and finally realized I just had the wrong hair. Worked with mags and waves on the kyra hair and finally, I believe my work is done. (This is not a future product, forum patrol) Steph 3 is the base model. -WTB

Thats pretty darn close. As close as I've seen with out using some sort of 3D laser scanning device. This isn't for the 'render my daughter' thing is it. (havn't looked at that for a while so I can't tell if it's the same girl or not)

The good news is....good, attractive model and work. The space between the eyes and down to the nose is very similiar. Good work on the mouth, also. I'd say overall you've captured the 'feeling' of the pictured model, so that's strong.

Do you know how to change the hue of the eye using the diffuse node in the materials? The green is not quite right, if you are trying to capture her exact eye color.

The unfortunate news is that starting from the Unimesh base (steph) the inward bow of the upper arm and the 'bent drinking straw' inner elbow are obnoxiously present.

Has the young lady in question seen your work yet? She should be flattered.

This is an internet model going by "Inna" from www.met-art.com -a softcore nude modelling site featuring (mostly) russian and european women (Everyone's 18+, calm down folks lol) Anyhow, it's unlikely that there would be an avenue to show her my work, but that's the way of it sometimes. As for the arms, don't know what to do about that other than try to fix it in post with liquify or something, but not really the focus here ;) -WTB

Very well done, nose looks very good straight on but to the side might not be exact but still... very well done! :)

WOW incredible job so far! What I see in the first image (message 3) is that the models lower lip is very full, almost more so at each side of the lower lip than in the center. What I see different from this in your render, is the lower lip is more sharply curved towards the center. Kind of like compaing a V to a U if you know what I mean? What an excellent likeness so far!!

Things like the green of her eyes are me taking a little liberty and amplifying what I like a bit. Don't ask about the chest, for example. (Not shown) I fixed the lip problem, made the eyes ever so slightly larger and brought them a little closer together and nudged them slightly higher. I also sloped her forehead to match the second pic because in the render I sloped it via liquify. Um...oh, made the bump in her nose a little more pronounced. Neither of these pics really show how she has a bump in her nose slope just under the bridge. Will try to find some pics that I can match up.

I think the bump in the noses are the same. :P Actually thats a very nice nose she has. :)

Photopium ( ) posted Fri, 18 March 2005 at 2:21 PM

Oops, you're right about the nose, it's fine. The bump is not a bump after all, but a strange small widening on the x axis which I already had covered. Awesome. -WTB
