Probably Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield and other actresses who played the dumb blonde in movies got the whole thing started. The Blonde was the woman you had a good time with and the Brunette was the one you married.

Everyone else is off-limits for "insensitive" jokes on them. Blondes are the only people who cannot be offended.

This is because "blondes have more fun". They are too busy having fun to be offended.
