Hey, I just wanted to show you guys my project which was rendered completely in Poser 4, then tampered with Adobe After FX (and other programs). But before I do so, I want you guys to know that I am a NEWBIE animator and modeler. I have no professional 3D experience, but rather what I've taught myself in the past couple of years for fanfilms. Everything you see in the movie is not modeled by myself, but either: purchased, downloaded for free, or generously donated. I then modified everything to my liking, such as some custom textures, custom accessories (clothes, etc.) and whatever else to fit the image I had in my head. Okay, now the movie is based off of Konami Silent Hill franchise. It's a short film, and is released in parts (each part, or episode if you will, is roughly 10 minutes in length). Parts 1 and 2 are online, and I'm working on the rest. I suggest you read the FAQ for all the information you may have, then the Journal section for anything story related. Also, for all you generous folks out there, everything is credited in the Credits section. If you see something that I used in the movie but it is NOT in the Credits section, please let me know ASAP! Alright, here it goes: http://noescape.rateofinjury.com If you have the time to critique it, please let me know. Fans of Silent Hill have been loving it, but I haven't heard a lot from people with 3D experience and knowledge. Oh, and to anyone who wants to donate to the cause, I would love any pointers, models, textures, or WHATEVER to help me build Brookhaven Hospital inside Poser 4. I have a bunch of hospital accessories from this site, but I'm trying to make this hospital as realistic and gritty as possible :-) Thanks!

i went there, clicked on a link which i think goes to the movie, got a message that told me to get firefox, and could not see a link to a quicktime movie or anything. Please advise. ::::: Opera :::::

Opera, that doesn't seem right. Please tell me your PC specs, and make sure you have Quicktime 6 or higher. The video was compressed with Sorenson, and the audio with MPEG-4, but as for Firefox, I have no clue. Does this happen when you click on the download link (the .mov file)? Also, you should right click and save-as...

Other than that, please tell me more. I don't think anyone else has been having problems, so it might just be you.

And ghelmer, you've gotta keep me updated on the project! It's awesome that you are also making a Silent Hill movie, especially one based off the best game in the series :-)

Did you model Brookhaven Hospital yet? I'm looking for tips or resources to help me get it down, and since Brookhaven is also featured in SH2, I'm assuming it'll probably be in your project somewhere.

You posted a link to this on Gamefaqs, as I remember.

I like the monster, but try hiding (ctrl + I) the eyes when you show it again. That should make it look more creepy. Great "twitchy" motions."

"You posted a link to this on Gamefaqs, as I remember." Wow, it's a small world out there :-o Yeah, I did post there for the Silent Hill gamer fans to see, but now I want the Poser 3D community to check it out for a different perspective on it. Also, the hiding of the eyes sounds like a good idea... I'm imagining it in my head and it's sort of creeping me out.

Peacer dude!!!! Just watched parts 1 & 2!! Very cool!! I like that you used music from all the games!!! I plan on using most of the SH2 soundtrack and nothing else, want to "keep it real" if ya know what I mean? I'll be doing Brookhaven, I just bought 3DsMax7 last week and I'm getting back into modelling. The jail cell I did today was just about 15 minutes in Max and about 5 getting it smart propped for Poser. I'm going to post asking if folks here might want it as a freebie... check later! I'd be happy to help you out with architecture and such... IM me and we can exchange email addys and stuff! I'm very impressed with No Escape!! I'll definately keep an eye on it's progress!!! G Hey Sarte... haven't seen you in this neck of the woods lately!! How ya been? And HI to you opera!! Hope you're enjoying P6!!

Peacer, I've only seen part 1 but I have to say that you have an excellent sense of timing. Good job on the film so far!

Thanks for all the compliments so far, I'm suprised it's being received this well! Ghelmer, I just sent you an IM so look out for that. I'm looking forward to seeing your version of Silent Hill in motion!
