Subject: Poser 6 will run on windows ME

I couldn't get Windows XP to install as an upgrade on my PC so untill I get time to Backup everything and try as a fresh install I thought I'd try running P6 on Windows ME any way. IT WORKS - I admit I haven't tried any thing to strenuous yet but I've done 1 render with no problems. Nigel

Well, it's partly in keeping with your question but also off topic-- Of the four people I know who upgraded from ME to XP, only one succeeded. The other three ended up having to wipe the drive and do a fresh full install of XP.

Does anything run on Windows ME?

Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer.

I use winME & everything I have works just dandy. I neither want or require XP.. my mother has it and it drives me crazy. But then again i don't want P6 either, i'll stick with propack, it works and i can do what i want, without too much hassle or waiting 10 thousand years for a render.. lol

WinXP works fine after you spend two hours hunting down all the "Classic Mode" settings and set them. Thereafter it behaves nicely like the WinNT it was built upon. WinXP default "out-of-the-box" settings are like, geez, you ~breath~ on the keyboard and the screen animates... ;P
