Subject: Request on P6 content

pdxjims ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 11:27 AM · edited Wed, 05 February 2025 at 12:01 AM

Could someone please post information about the new figures in P6, and some full body images? Questions: Does James use seperate genatalia (M3 method) or are they part of the base mesh (Dork/M2 method)? Does Jessie have genitalia? How are the new figures UV mapped? Can they use any existing textures? How many polys are they per figure? What morphs are included? Can someone post images of those morphs in action? Are there any other new figures besides the new kids and LaRoo2? How many clothing sets are included? Is there both synamic and conforming clothing? Thank you.

No idea on the genitalia THey are mapped, it is not like any other figures (they are entirely new meshes, created by a japanese modeller). some body morphs, face room for regular morphs. THere is both conforming and dynamic clothing, with improvements to the hair and cloth room that will make dynamic clothing much more popular. There is a new sixus 1 figure as well as Laroo lite. The rest I'll have to wait on.

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

What makes Laroo "Lite"? No morphs? Or is it Laroo 1, instead of 2?

OddDitty ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 12:17 PM

not quite sure -- I'll ask over at RDNA for clarification, but I do know that it is LaRoo 2, and theat there is a special upgrade package to the full deal. I don't think the poser version has the special bodystyle morphs and stuff like that, though. and of course, there are all the additional morphs for Jesse and James now available over at RDNA -- tons of body morphs.

Jim, from what I've heard James has a genitalia option similar to Dork and Don. I don't know about Jessie and I'm still waiting to hear if they can used existing textures. Hmmm...with all the work that RDNA has done, I'm surprised that more of it didn't actually wind up in the P6 package. Personally, I think that James and Jessie should be functional enough out of the box that you wouldn't need to immediately upgrade morph packages. I don't have them yet, so I don't know if this is the case. I'll have to see if a "lite" version of LaRoo2 is incentive enough to buy the full version.

Body morphs? Where? I can find the head morphs in the store, but no body morphs.

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 1:08 PM

The body and head morphs are at RDNA I think, which IMHO, is pretty tacky since they should have been included in P6.

Marque ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 1:10 PM

No doubt, wonder why they didn't include them? Marque

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 1:16 PM

Actually looking over at RDNA I don't see any body morphs...

MachineClaw ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 1:36 PM

James genitals are a single figure similar to dork and don, no morphs and bending the penis in poser produces really bad results. There are FBM full body morph icons in the runtime for James as well as Jessi, very little out of the box in the way of morphs though RuntimeDNA just put out packs for both figures. The new figures cannot use existing textures. James and Jessi are new figures and have new UV mapping. Clothing is basic for each new figure. James, Jessi, and 2 new kids. new figures include James, Jessi, kids, alphaman (toon), betaboy (toon), Laroo LE (toon v1 Laroo stripped of morphs but there is an upgrade path to Laroo 2 available at RuntimeDNA). Koz hair some new ones apparently poser 6 specific, most available free but fit to the new figures. kids have 1 hair each and of course Jessi has more hair available than James.

Can anyone post full nude images of the new figures? and a wireframe view of the models? And maybe one with the body parts all different colors?

momodot ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 4:23 PM

I do not understand the P6 "standard figure" situation (Jessie, James, etc.). Do you get only Face Room and expresions/phenomes? Does Face Room feature more scultpting morphs then P5 (I wasn't happy I had to get Morphin'Mindy and EJ to make the most out of Judy). Have I just bought software that requires the purchase of seperate morph sets to make the base figures "destinctivly individual"?? if so I would be pretty unhappy :( How much are the morph sets I may or may not need cost?

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Tue, 22 March 2005 at 6:25 PM

Personally, with all the toon figures out there I don't understand why RDNA couldn't include all the morphs with LaRoo. From what I've seen, I'm disappointed with their involvement with P6. Nonetheless, I'm glad that Sixus1 included AlphaMan and BetaBoy and that the clothing is separate from the figures. I think they'll be really fun to play with :) The Koz hair looks great from what I've seen, but I wouldn't expect any less from him :)

There's also some stuff by Zygote and Transpond in there. If you look at the prices, even greatly reduced, for a family of figures and complete morphs, textures, clothes, hair, furniture, and settings, you are asking for half the DAZ store to be included free? And are dissapointed that you don't get it? This is bonus content, so that we have something to play with. CuriousLabs is selling the application. The content is BONUS. Extra. Free. And what is all this fixation on genitals? They have prehensile toes and ears which spin in place... don't need genitals to play with, when you can... OK, don't hit me. The genitals are stuck on the body the way they should be. no running around with blindfold and straightpin. I hadn't tried pretzeling James' penis, nor had I looked up Jessi's crotch before. (What I'll do for a friend. :shake head:) There is some modeling in there, but it is all external (crack and innerlips barely seen). The wireview doesn't reveal as much as Judy had. James has a morph for "erect", I don't suggest pushing it past 1. At 2.5 it could serve as a flag-pole. This looks to be right for most renders, even of naked bathers or ballerinas dressing or goddesses admiring themselves and other such classical art. It won't be enough for erotica. There should be some morphs for side to side hanging for the penis in flaccid state, for those images of guys sleeping or bathing or just lying around like the Greeks. The people modeling specialized genitalia aren't out of a job, but what is there is adaquate for most users. HTH, Carolly

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Wed, 23 March 2005 at 4:14 PM

LOL, Carolly...I'm not disappointed with the actual content of P6 from what I've seen so far. There are certain aspects of the upgrading of figures in Content Paradise that I'm not impressed with.

pdxjims ( ) posted Wed, 23 March 2005 at 5:33 PM

I still haven't seen a full body nude of any of the new figures. Or a wireframe.... sigh...

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Wed, 23 March 2005 at 9:47 PM

Jim, I'll IM Deecey about it...

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 23 March 2005 at 10:37 PM

OK, I'll render them off for you. You'll want the hi-res versions? IM me with a good email and expect an attached zip.

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Wed, 23 March 2005 at 10:54 PM

you could post them in this thread and just use the nudity tag...

DCArt ( ) posted Thu, 24 March 2005 at 12:00 PM

PBM and Jim ... not ignoring this thread. I've actually made several attempts to start some renders, but I've got a lot going on at the moment and keep switching gears. Hopefully Carolly has gotcha covered now! Thanks Carolly! LOL
