The strange thing is that Rhythm and Hues is a major and well known 3D production house for films (Titanic) and theme parks (Disney 3D attractions). You'd think they could do a much prop than that, or at least render it better. Geesh, guess they figure that they are so famous their poop doesn't stink, eh?

They also tend to be texture and render engine focused -- the mesh doesn't need to be anything more than simple when you have the full power of Renderman at your fingertips.
