They certainly have merit, like the viaduct one that is a great image. OK the sky in the top two look a little blown out but the main subject looks exposed well enough.
Mike, With the level adjustments you made...looks like it eliminates that "faded/fog" on the original. Seems to me that the images can be salvaged...guess it all depends if its worth it to you. From the few pics ya show here, looks like it would be a worthwhile endeavor! Go for it! Maybe there a way to BATCH process the images?!?!? Joe
The images seem kind of dreamy, a little out of focus, hazy, drizzle effect to them. Kind of the way I always think of the UK. I can't remember how long you said the film had been in the camera, but it seemed to work out. I would definitely put some postwork into the aqueduct, it looks promising. Like your results so far:}
Nice buildings! Definitely worth working on.... The only thing I do notice is that they all look a little flat/muddy contrast wise.... with the exception of the second one, which appears fine to me. You said you adjusted levels on these? Is your monitor calibrated properly? Or am I the only one whose seeing the contrast this way?
I am, therefore I create.......

@Ryno: yeah, that's how they seem to me, like the focus is almost but not quite there... that's one of the annoying things about them. @LP: Yeah, I tried to get a nice balance, but I reckon I've got to spend some time with layering to get the balance right! @Joe : I just feel that the 'faded/fog' is still there, just brighter...lol @Chelle : No, apart the house they look muddy! @Tibs : Yeah, they remind me of photo's in the 70's in the family album that all have that strange orange glow to them!! @Doug : You'd be amazed.... that aquaduct only seems to serve a little village of about 30 houses, and I don't know if it's even in use anymore. There is a castle and a church there too, but it can't have been for the castle coz that's MUCH older and in ruins now. I want to try to get a day up there and get some better pictures of it from different angles - but like I said, it was a 300mm lens for that shot, so I dunno how I'm gonna get through the fields / trees for some closer shots yet! Cheers guys, I might spend some time with them all over the weekend. (",)
