Good morning all. this morning leaves a ragged rabid DOG in its wake. one that is getting plenty pissed at Lycos and its subsidaires tripod and angelfire these are the nets that im having the most trouble with getting threw for d/l's and site surfing. going thruew the same all night it came clear that they are blocking us and trying to force us into their system. or even off the net entirely.for one im tired of being pulled there having to see their adds or banner then being locked in a looped site waisting endless time and keeping me from going to other places in the time that i do have for whatim looking for. anybody know what to do to stop these acts reddog271

Oh yea. Try downloading something off my web site on Fortunecity. I hear it's quite a pain in the butt!! I'm afraid the days of quality free web site hosting are gone. ScottA

There is one soulution to that problem... Homestead. That's where I keep my stuff, and I havn't had any complaints...

I keep wondering when Renderosity is going to just go ahead and give us about a million GB's of space. ;) Wouldn't THAT be cool?

Thanks for the idea Chicken Soup. But 16 meg. of web space is not enough. I need at least 50meg. ScottA

being sent threw fortunecity lycos tripod or angelfire seems to be degrading this site. there is gads of good usefull things here and the people are extremely helpfull,it degrades their creditability when the link chain is broken by outside nets. and that looks like just what is going on. reddog271

Okay, here is a couple of other ideas. stas.net, gives you a gig of space and free linking. Also xdrive. You start out with 30 mgs of space but as you bring other people on it grows, I'm up to fifty megs and I didn't do anything but use the site on a daily basis. I don't know about linking as I only use xdrive to transfer files for my clients (I do large database sorting for e-commerce companies the files are two large to go through the e-mail systems.) I've found both sites very usefull. :) Hope that helps. Boni
