Sorry about making a new Thread everytime, but I fear if I don't people wont go deep enough to find the old ones and I really want feedback on these. As requested I tried displacment in the scales instead of Bump. I found that a 50% 50% split worked the best.

Are these going to be free? If so count me in. Marque

It's a combo between Crocodile, Alligater, and some pictures of Dinosaur teeth that I took at the museum after work yesterday (armed with a camera phone and a yearly pass to the museum and dangerous) ~o As far as the cost, I'm thinking free unlimited non-commercial use, and free commercial use with notification (basicly I'm going to write up something that says you can use it commercially that I'll e-mail people if they need to use it in commercial work. This is just so I know what it's going into and I can brag about it ^^ )

LOL James Bond in the museum! Marque

ahh they don't mind. I paid $200 for the membership (of course thats for me, my wife, 8 guests, 3 museums and all the laser shows you can eat) so I feel I should be able to ride the dinos if I want. :p

lol. Glad you are allowing commercial usage. I don't forsee needing a dragon any time soon, But it's nice to know I can. I'm assuming these textures work with the Mill Dragon LE.

IME, most natural history museums have no problem with cameras. Ask, if you're unsure; most of the time, cameras are welcome. Sometimes, if a fossil is very fragile, they request no flash photography. But otherwise, you can take as many photos as you want. I have tons that I took at the Museums of Natural History in New York and London. Including some of the feathered dinosaurs from China. (No flash allowed for those, but they came out anyway.)

thixen ( ) posted Thu, 24 March 2005 at 10:25 AM

they should I think LE is just 1 with out some stuff, but I'm not sure. They should work with anything that takes the Mil Dragon UV. Ohh and you'll need P5 as a lot of the effects use shader nodes. P4 should be able to use the textures just not the transluncy in the horns/teeth/wings/tounge etc. and you may have to fiddle with the bump maps. But if you have P4 you should already be fimular with how to do all this.

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 24 March 2005 at 10:39 AM

LE is MilDragon 1 without the morphs. Mildragon 1, 2, and LE all take the same textures.

thixen ( ) posted Thu, 24 March 2005 at 10:51 AM

Ohh I know they don't care about it. I was just joking anyhow. Besides my wife is an archaeologist who work studied for them for a little while so we got connections.

Impressive!! I really gotta start getting into P5.....

Here is the latest incarnation of Real Dragon, did something with the wings, although I'm still not 100% happy with them yet, I may go for a much lighter color when it's all said and done. Don't know yet. And I did some work on the eye (now it's an original texture instead of 'borrowing' others.) abd the teeth.
