heyas; can anybody get shop 4 to run reliably in xp? uh... does anybody besides me still HAVE 4?? :) first, it says it can't load the dll that runs the 16 bit plug ins. the dll is THERE... it can FIND it. it just can't run it. ha ha. :/ and yes, i use those. the other thing is, it just tends to crash every thirty seconds or so. most of the time. sometimes it runs all right. what REALLY ticks me off is after a crash, i load the picture i was working on, and all the layers and background are totally blank. i tried telling it to run in win98 compatibility mode. that helped it sometimes work, but more and more often, it keeps flaking out and crashing. i dont know what other settings or things to try. hmmm... the only update i see for shop 4 is a spanish update to 4.01. :/ (i do have 4.0.1, anyway.)

I only wish I HAD PS4 have you tried reinstalling it? The usual always helps, defrag, enough ram? etc

If you have enough ram to run XP you should have plenty for PS4. My immediate thought was running it in a different compatability mode but I see you have that covered. That's a very interesting problem.

There's a deal in XP called the program compatibility wizard, should be in your start menu under accessories. You might try that

heyas; okay, the compatibility thing was a bust. but i'll try actually installing the program. you know i never do that, i just copy it over and make a shortcut ;)

okay.... well, that looks like it did it! except the one time it flaked out and wouldn't load anything... but it is MUCH more stable with the install. now... anybody know how i can get it to work with the dll so i can use my 16-bit filters??? :/
