A decent article on a distasteful topic.
This issue isn't going to go away. And you've got extremists on both sides of the TOS debate.
Rendo has done as much as they can to distance themselves from the incessant warfare by taking the simple expedient of shutting and locking the door.
I say good for them. From a purely business standpoint, it's a wise choice.
As for the debate itself.....I've said many things in other threads already.

Dialyn, I don't know whether it makes viewing any easier, but if you go to the View menu in Explorer, there is an option there that lets you set text size sfrom small to largest. If you use Opera, it't on the right hand side of the menu and lets you zoom from 10 to 1000 % And thank you for the kind words - I haven't written in a while :-) ~S
120% in Opera is about right for me (yes, I did notice Spinner's CV. Opera fan here!) It's about time that someone proffered facts in place of hysteria and speculation. Well done. "[...] image will be a depiction of an illegal action in most countries, and the image in itself will therefore be illegal." This sounds like a generalisation to me. If true, then nearly all violent images would also be illegal. I won't perform the full reductio ad absurdam on that concept...
A damn good article on a very emotive subject, /P. Well written and very well reasoned. FWIW, you made me think about the subject in ways I never considered previously.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
EnglishBob, Taken in the context of the article... "Pedos don't sit and mess around in Poser or a modeler, ok ? It's CGI. CGI is not a living, breathing child. However, should they generate sexually explicit or suggestive imagery containing minors, that image will be a depiction of an illegal action in most countries, and the image in itself will therefore be illegal. And will hence not be posted outside these creatures' fairly secure jerk-off circle." spinner is exactly correct. All child porn images on the web are illegal, and it has nothing to do with the country of origin. Because they are viewable in countries where it is illegal, it is a violation of import/export laws. In fact web based child porn here is investgated initially by the Customs service, not the FBI or DOJ.
