Subject: tutorial needed

Hi could someone pls recommend me a good tutorial on how to create a figure. I have a mesh ready in one piece.I need to split it into parts and attach bones. I've done that once but long ago. Don't remember to be honest. I've seen one tutoril around but don't remember either where it is who was the author, etc... thank you in advance
