It wouldn't be difficult to recreate the material described for your from Poser into Vue Infinite using the 'Angle of Incidence' input node. You can simulate that effect in other versions of Vue by playing with Highligh values and colors (check out the 'rubber' material for example) but the result is not as realistic.

I have Daz Bryce 5 also Maya Unlimited 6.5 & Vue 5 Esprit I was playing need for speed underground and i liked how the paint was changing colors on the cars. So I tried to figure out how to do it but haven't been able to. If anyone knows how to do it in any of those programs it will be a big help plz post
