I wanted to try something that would put a good load on my computer so i used 4 of AS's sphere sculptuer model, 5 radial lights(shadowing left on 2) the slightly reflective texture you see on the ground and roof and 2 mirrors. i set the render on premium 64 rpp. I was shocked to find out after i watched a dvd that the render was finished. total time was 2 hours 37 minutes.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

The greatest part of wisdom is learning to develop  the ineffable genius of extracting the "neither here nor there" out of any situation...."

Now make them all semi-transparent! With soft shadows! Turn everything on! THAT will put a load on your computer. Don't forget a volumetric atmosphere! I had a simple scene with a volumetric atmos and it took a week for an 800x600 render.
