Hi. If you have a moment, I'd like to hear what some of you think are the more realistic clothing items for the Mil Figures (V3, M3, etc.). Some people might have different ideas of what's realistic, but I basically mean clothing that comes as close to being photorealistic as Poser clothing can be expected to be, combining a good mesh, detailed textures, and morphs if possible. Seraphira's items look quite good, but I'd like any other suggestions you might have. Thanks very much, take care. SnowS

Billy-T makes some of the most realistic looking clothes, IMO.

Wusumah,Awful soul,ElorOnceDark...They all take the time to model in wrinkles & the little details that make it real

I agree with Snow on Seraphira's clothing. She would really take the time to include realistic folds and morphs in her clothing. Her stuff is very affordable. Wusamah's, altho is wellmade, don't offer as many morphs and look somewhat stiff and unyielding, and did I mention very pricey. Awful Soul makes excellent clothing (lotsa morphs and very stylish), but I wouldn't use the word 'realistic'. His textures are somewhat comic book like. ElorOnceDark's is excellent but very genra specific. I just wish he would ventures into other genra's then the scifi/shiny stuff. My 8 cents JV

Thanks for the opinions so far. Yes, I like Billy-T's stuff, his leather jacket and Real Jeans from DAZ are great; I just wish they had more morphs. Wusumah has always made excellent quality items, but from what I understand, they're not UV mapped for others to easily make high-resolution textures for them. I like Awful Soul's textures and morphs a lot, and would probably think of them first for fantasy outfits. I can't even find ElorOnceDark in the merchant list here though, does he sell somewhere else? If there's no other suggestions for clothing items, does anyone have any texture recommendations for others' clothes? Bluebeard seems to have filled Bebop's shoes nicely in the lingerie department; any others come to mind? :) Thanks again, SnowS

I like BatLabs Clothes, regardless of price. My favorites are Bikini Set-B, Ordinary Lingiere, and PVC Gear Type C. The textures on all three are excellent. The price is reasonable and the clothes ususally fit multiple figures. I haven't seey any clothes that conform and pose better than Bat's.

I like the stuff from Utilize, perfect for the sophisticated, cosmopolitan Mil3 figures that make more money than I do. Correct me if I'm wrong but you can transfer morphs from characters to clothing using The Tailor or (better still for free) Morph Manager.

wusamah's clothing looks INCREDIBLE, but they're very expensive. If that's not problem, go for it.

You can use Tailor to "transfer" morphs from figures to clothing or even clothing to clothing. Actually what you are doing is creating a morph in the clothing item that has the same effect as a morph in the character. Morph Manager will copy morphs only between items that use the same mesh. Generally, it cannot be used to copy morphs from character to clothing, because the meshes are different. How clothing looks in a render is generally dependant on lighting and textures. There are a lot of good textures for clothing that are free. Also, with P5/P6 you have the materials room to create your own textures. A good mesh that poses well always helps, though.
