I already have V3..this new pack is morphs only, right? It is morphs only, but it's an immensely complicated figure. There's no injection, everything is pre-loaded, and she doesn't take the standard V3 injected morphs, which is a pain in the ass when trying to tweak expressions. (You can add the missing channels with morph manager.) Does it really give you morphing abilities you didn't have before for that price?? It depends on what you're looking for. Hmann's morphs are great, and she does add a lot of versatility to V3. Definitely morphs that aren't available elsewhere. The inbuilt expressions are wonderful. Personally I would have preferred an injection-based system so I could easily mix and match the new gen morphs with the standard V3. There are a couple of standard v3 body morphs that I always use and I miss them when working with the new gen figure. OTOH, that's because so far I'm too lazy to crack open morph manager and do what I need to do. With the new system in P6 for storing morphs I'm thinking I may get around to doing that - it sounds like it will be worth the effort at last. So is she worth it? For myself, I'm not sure. I'll let you know a few weeks after my P6 arrives! For others, I'd say it depends on the type of art you do. Getting conforming clothing to fit her custom body morphs is possible but not easy; you're better off with dynamic clothing. If you do close-up portraits she's not brilliant (IMHO) but pull the camera back a little and she looks good. If you like extreme expressions (think somewhere between the standard morphs and the kind of thing capsces does so well) she's great. If you just want a lot of extra facial morphs she's a good investment.
I have not moved to dynamic clothing yet...conforming clothing works for me fine so that might be a problem. I do like to mix and match injections and clothing, combining mats and such to create different effects. It sounds like this new pack is not something I'm ready for quite yet. /dumb question/ Is Morph manager a DAZ product? /dumb question/ THanks for the info!

Not a dumb question. It's a free util you can get from the link.Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
Can you still use the character addons found here and elsewhere, with the new vicky?

There are some morphs to tone the abs and some body-shaping morphs to give her more of the body-builder V-shape. But there aren't really muscle-morphs as such. It's one of the frustrating things about the package. If you combine this version with the DAZ muscle morphs for V3, I think you'd get good results. But for muscular characters, the package alone isn't much. Bear with me an hour or two and I'll post some rough renders for you. Can you still use the character addons found here and elsewhere, with the new vicky? She takes standard V3 textures. But she doesn't have the injection channels so you have to add them with morph manager if you want to use most marketplace character morphs.

The rib morphing can be softened using a dial on the chest body part.

Ok, I'm still pretty new to all of this. I know how to load a figure and then go to my character addon folder and pick a character and inject the morphs for it. Are you saying that with the new vicky that I can't do that? I dont' know anything about "morph channels" or how to manage them.

Are you saying that with the new vicky that I can't do that? Not "out of the box". I dont' know anything about "morph channels" or how to manage them. SamTherapy gave the link to morph manager above. Each morph dial you see in a poser character has a corresponding "channel" coded into the CR2 file. This usually contains the information needed to make the morph work (the vertices). With the system DAZ created for the unimesh figures, the CR2 is supplied with blank channels (and these are invisible in Poser to start with). When you use an INJ pose, it adds the information to the CR2 and makes the relevant dial(s) visible in Poser. V3 New Generation uses the old/standard system of having her morphs already in the CR2 - no injection needed. However, Hmann also left out the blank channels, probably to save on file size, which means that normal V3 INJ poses don't work on the figure as she is sold. Using morph manager (which is free) you can copy the blank channels from your standard V3 CR2 to the V3 New Generation figure. This makes the INJ files work on her. It's really not difficult to do, just takes a little time. There must be a morph manager tutorial around here somewhere, but even if you can't find one the program is easy to figure out. I hope that helps!
Thank you :) I don't have the new Vicky yet, but I was thinking of buying her, but not if I couldn't use the character addons that I have. I find plain Vicky rather homely (and cross eyed) and like to jazz her up, so I don't use her "as is".
