Subject: March challenge theme

chohole ( ) posted Tue, 08 March 2005 at 2:33 AM Ā· edited Sat, 20 July 2024 at 3:58 PM

I find that as March approaches the Irish side of my heritage comes to the fore, St Patrick's day and all that, and my images are taking on a distinctively Irish theme. What does March mean to you? So the theme for March's challenge is MARCH, March or indeed even march. That should be a theme that will allow all apps and styles to take part. Looking forward to some more poetry and stories as well as images.

Very interesting. I wonder if we will get any posters from 'down under' with autumn themes, lol! I like the concept :)

Fractals will always amaze me!

Hahaha - I'm from downunder - and the only Autumn thing happening in March is more rain than usual...lol! Oh... and my birthday... hehe! Actually, in Sydney, the weather isn't cold enough to make the leaves drop until at least mid-April... but I'm sure we could try to accommodate on the Autumn theme... grin T.

Who? Me?

Did you delete your entry? :(

I'm not sure what happened to the other submission. Cyber-gnomes, perhaps? Regardless, a writer is once again in the mix.

RimRunner ( ) posted Sat, 19 March 2005 at 5:27 AM

you can always tell. Things drop off around here as the weather starts to warm up (or cool off for the other half of this sphere we call home). ;) Anyway... 1 week left to get your entries in. Early warning :) Good luck all !!

This is the ancestral home of my Mom's pioneer forefathers, the Hoyt Mansion, built by Samual P. Hoyt. It is located in Hoytsville, Utah. My Mom's side of the family is Irish and English, and that's why I'm an American ;)

I was going for a nice watercolor feel.

Used Painter 8 and Photoshop CS.

Oh, it's implied, but to be more straightforeward about my entry March reminds me of heritage. Thanks for the challenge, Aaron
