Sorry about the spellign I have seen it spelled two ways Romania and Romainia. Anyways her eis my latest post of the IAR-80 a Romanian fighter plane from WW2. I fidn it an interesting design. I had a hell of a time doing the UVmaps.I liek the color scheme and the overall shape of the plane a lot.

I will do a rerender the forward canopy did not render argh! It is there. When I did it in normal mode worked fine. Set to Premium with the canopy as the focal point it is gone. Great plane sort of like a cross btween the FW190 and a F4U corsair.

Looks strangely like a long-nosed Focke-Wulfe 190B.

Quest: Wha? This isn't my stuff. Dann-O deserves the credit here. Great modeling going on here... I was going to say something about the canopy looking funny, but I see that it wasn't intentional. Also I see some attributes of the plane look that look similar to Japanese planes of the era. Did they share plans or anything? (Or is the resemblence merely coincidental?)

The forward canopy or windscreen left the lead model and went to the one in a roll when I duplicated them. Here is a corrected version. It does look a little like a FW190 meets a F4U Corsair. It had a bubble canopy soemthing that only American and British planes had. The engine was very similar to what was in the Zero 14 cylinder 900 hp radial. It is an original design just that certain numbers are similar. Was a good plane in 40 and 41 but lacked the upgrades that were needed to keep it current. The insignia are fun to make on it too.

Just a side note. The pilot is my pilot made in wings that is why he is sooooooo Ugly but he is ok for soem distant shots. Tried to keep the poly count onhim down. Now I am working on an adversary for my IAR-80. the plane is a P-39 in russian markings. The P-39 is an American plane but most of the planes were sent to Russia they were not popular with American pilots but the Russians loved them. The russians flew them differently and made better use. of the P-39. The P-39 was only good at low altitudes and had a short range.
