Subject: Qustions about Morphs

Hey all, I know this has probably been covered a couple hundred times already, but I'm new to Poser and just need to ask. Is there anyway that a morph can be pulled from on figure (like a bodybuilder morph or the Hero Morphs on the base P4 Models) and put into another figure? Here's my problem.. I've got a brutish strongman out of the P4 base model, and clothes won't fit right... anybody have an answer?

Yes. Mason's Morph Manager4.x for PC can do this. You can't transfer morphs from a nude figure to the clothing though. Have you tried using the magnet deformers to make the clothing fit?

Do you mean to ask if you can use that same morph target pon the clothes to make them fit better? The answer to that unfortunately would be no, but it sure would make things alot simpler if you could! if you're asking if you can transfer morph targets from one character to another, then yes you can, but it has to be the same base figure at least, such as you can't use a Poser 3 male morph target on a Poser 4 male body. Well, I think the heads stayed the same between P3 and P4. obviously of course you can't use female morphs on males, and vice versa. You can do it in one of two ways, either by saving tyhe body part out of Poser as a .obj file, checking off only "as morph target, no world transformations" in the last box that pops up, but of course you have to save out ONLY the body part that the morph is for, and then you reload it into Poser on to the character you want to use it on, amking sure the proper body part is selected. Or you can use a freeware app called Morph Manager, which is avavilable (I think still) in the Poser Free Stuff, and I think it's Windoze only.

That answers a few of my future questions, thanks much guys. I think I'll play with this one a bit before I get any deeper into what's been driving me insane lately...

One minor note MJSUTMIKE: There was a head morph that did actually transfer from male to female (or as it the other way around). I think it was at Kozaburo's site.
