Subject: Poser 6 shipped - but UPS tracking number not working

semidieu ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 7:21 AM · edited Wed, 22 January 2025 at 2:54 AM

Does anyone have this problem ? I'm from Switzerland.

samcclung65 ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 8:05 AM

My number didn't work when I first got the email. It did work the next day. My guess is that the email is sent as soon as DR enters the info into their system, but before the info is sent to UPS.

RawArt ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 8:15 AM

I dont think they use UPS for every country...when I tried the code in Canada it said that it is an invalid UPS code. Trouble is I dont see anywhere in my CL account as to what curiour they do use here (which would be nice to find out...or the tracking number is useless LOL) Rawn

semidieu ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 8:22 AM

it is "shipped" for about 24 hours now... and still don't working. I paid for "UPS overnight"... so i guess they should use UPS.

danamongden ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 8:54 AM

I saw the same thing, but twelve hours later, the tracking number worked. It's common for commercial shippers to be able to generate a tracking number well before the carrier knows about it. My P6 box was 728 miles away as of 8 hours ago. Render challenge: Make a UPS truck travelling down the highway at warp speed, but it must be done prior to the arrival of your P6.

semidieu ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 9:01 AM

Just to be sure there wasn't a bug... my tracking number has 10 digits. And yours ?

danamongden ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 9:21 AM

Nope -- mine had 18 digits, but it was going UPS ground if that makes a difference.

RawArt ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 9:26 AM

3 letters 7 numbers for me shrug

Natolii ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 9:32 AM

Typically a full Tracking number with be the 18 letters/numbers setup.

tbird10 ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 9:34 AM

They used Royal Mail for me in the UK, arrived this afternoon, Yipee !

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 12:39 PM

My tracking number didn't work immediately, either, but it came up on the system after twelve hours or so. P6 is scheduled to arrive here sometime tomorrow. I hope I'm in ....

xen ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 1:29 PM

I am in Germany. I paid for UPS overnight. Got the e-mail that it shipped yesterday, but nothing arrived today. UPS tracking number does not work. Sounds like a systemic cockup, not a one off just in your case.

semidieu ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 2:01 PM

Oh i'm happy i'm not alone with my tracking problems... uh... in fact.. i'm not happy... I want Poser6 as soon as possible...

tastiger ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 2:08 PM

I have exactly the same problem I have a 10 digit tracking number and living in Australia paid $AUD 88 for shipping, but 24 hours after getting the email the dang number doesn't work - For what I paid I would sure like to know where it is!

In Canada too. Mine is in transit too. In transit from where, I would like to know. I would also like to know when I'm to get it. I hate waiting with unknown factors. What if I have to go into town to pick up my mail or buy more coffee and miss the Damn truck. That was a dream I had last night. LOL

odeathoflife ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 5:11 PM

You can call purolator (18887447123) and give them your tracking # and they will give you the eta...I know the # cause I am in constant contact with them for my work LOL, they say mine will be here tuesday...that is a long time for a 45km delivery I guess they are walking it here.

Cool, thanks for the no. Tonight on CBC. Man arrested for constantly making prank call to Purolator. "Where is my P6" Authorities think the alleged terrorist got his numbers mixed up and was looking for C4, not P6. The only comment we could get from this deranged man, after he was drugged and thrown into a rubber room. " Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Power to V3.

odeathoflife ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 5:57 PM

LOL, make that a ring of people storm the purolator offices across the country demaning p6

Is that anything like. "This is your action news reporter, with the news , that is the news, across the nation at the scene of the Purolator office" "Pardon me Sir, did you see what happened?" Streak for P6.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 6:16 PM

What if I have to go into town to pick up my mail or buy more coffee and miss the Damn truck.

Yes, in an ideal world they would equip all delivery trucks with GPS transponders, then tie in the website tracking service with MapQuest or something for a real-time display of just where the truck is located at this moment, within a twenty-meter radius.

Then I could fly out to intercept the #%*@& thing on the road and get my copy even earlier.

Mine is currently less than a hundred miles away. I could have it within an hour or so, if I knew where to strike.

Anyone with a 10 digit number expecting delivery ex UK try DHL - see my post above
