I was inspired to build Riply, No one seemed to want to attempt a good one so I decided to clone her, Meet Riply 8.

What inspired me? I saw Antares new Warrior Alien preview from a static non poser model. I can't wait to play with this creature when it comes out for poser, But I must wait so I made her, And plan to make Jonner next, That the ape like guy from resurrection who was one of the survivors at the end of the film.

My inspiration for my Riply figure came when I saw Franz Munz's Alien Queen,Only when I saw his Alien Drone did I start work on Riply

Only I don't know what hair model to use on her, none seem right for her so far, Ill keep working with her. When I say I made her I ment Riply...~~~ Did this image useing props from vanishing point.

SaintFox ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 4:14 AM

The face is realy convincing yet, in case of the body she needs less breast and more muscles (especially at the arms) IMHO to give are more tough and less feminine look. You asked about hair... How about the MW Gel haircut (not that curly as Ripley's real hair but handy enough for a working woman ;o) ) or, for a more razored look "Here comes trouble), both by DAZ?

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!

And I am not strange, I am Limited Edition!

I agree you got too pointy of beasts, too highup, doesn't look natural. I love your Alien monster though, looks really cool.

This is V3 Im trying to make her wear Daz's military outfit pack but had to scale to keep things from poking out, I have the clothing convertor but have not had a chance to install and work with it yet, I scaled the brests to help make it fit looks like I went a little to high on the settngs. I thought she was a bit flat chested myself. The Gear Ibelive is the Vicky SWAT gear from free stuff. The pants are poserworld but I could have used the pants in the swat gear or the cargo pants from Daz's military pack, I just like the scifi suit from poser world half of it is in hide mode, I just wanted the pants to show.

I will release a recipe of her settings and a face file when Im done working on her. The curly hair im not too hot on, gell hair might be too short?

Gareee ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 9:07 AM

Ya know Sixus has a fully poseably alien queen character, don't you? And someone else even has a power loader (I think it's conforming)

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Fazzel ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 9:11 AM

I agree with Saint Fox and Birddie. Make the breasts smaller and the arms more muscular and I think you have her perfect.

xantor ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 9:13 AM

The powerloader is at vanishing point.

Both Alien Monster are Franz Munz's aka Antares, Riply is the only thing im creating here, I know I should have linked to his site on the queen and the alien drone, the drone warrior alien image came in a zipfile from scifi art, it's a preview of the Alien he made fully textured and posed I think in Blender. Sixus1: One note though it would be cool to use the genital switch in poser to switch out the Alien drone legs so you have the otion of having the alien with dog legs and human legs, It would require a little more modeling time but it would be well worth it to the fans of ALIENS.

Tucan-Tiki ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 9:17 AM

That way you could have the Dog leg Aliens from resurrection and the human leg aliens from AVP.

This must be an April Fools thread. People are actually telling someone to make breasts smaller. As if anyone in this forum would ever really say that about breasts.... [grin]

Before they made me they broke the mold!

Birddie ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 9:53 AM

I'm not suggesting smaller, just less of a point to the nipples. It's a myth to think a woman's breasts are high up in the air, even with a boob job, as a woman myself, I can tell ya, Breasts DO NOT defy the law of gravity, no matter what size. :) only in Poser do the female figures come with pointy breasts and standup right without a bra on. LOL.

Fazzel ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 10:57 AM

Bobasaur, I'm just saying if this is supposed to be Ripley, well, Sigourney Weaver's breasts aren't that big. I guess it depends on how realistic the character is supposed to look.

Bobasaur ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 11:58 AM

LOL! @Birddie & Fazzel I understand what you're saying. I'm just havin' a little fun. ;-)

Well they are not that big on her, the problem is with the shirt it has no morphs.

Bobasaur ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 4:50 PM

I think the face has great potential. I hope you find the hair you're looking for!

This must be an April Fools thread. People are actually >telling someone to make breasts smaller. Sure, what else! Okay, to be serious: Give her a long blonde mane, very voluptous figure, a red swimsuit and lips like a rubber dinghy! Okay, just kidding... I know what you mean with the shirt Tukan-Tiki. But you cared so much for the face (imagine it with some good light settings and maybe some wet-look effect and a spot of dirt here and there!), I think it's worth looking for a shirt with some breast-morphs included. Maybe you could work with magnets. I would be really interested in the face settings! Oh, and in case of the hair: I've googled a bit and found that Ripley went through different hairstyles from poodle-curls over shoulder length to bald-headed. As I don't know some really good curled hair for poser I think I would take something conformable and paint the rest...

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!

And I am not strange, I am Limited Edition!
