aka **Cut throat weaver** also - latin name *Amadina fasciata*. I know this is a bird with a unusual name - But it is most common at birdkeepers. I made the texture according to some ref. pictures also enclosed here a link to other Amadina (Red-head) That I have made earlyer and for the Amadina species I have made the 2 common species :). I know its hard to see if it is the same as the original bird - BUT please help me with that I need another POV :) Thanks alot regards, aryeguetta

It looks very good. The only thing I notice is that red marking on the neck...in the reference pics, it's sort of teardrop-shaped. Narrow underneath the neck, wider behind the eye. The white stripe over it is very narrow, not as wide as in your texture. And it's slanted upwards rather than straight, following the widening of the red area.

Thank you very much - I'll work on it :) you have been great help regards aryeguetta

Definately upper-leaning teardrop (like a fingerprint)... also the white band around the red seems to go all the way around, is crisp, and narrow. The rest of your coloring and speckling looks right on.

The neck is fine, now. I'm looking at where you've placed the red in front of his legs with narrowed eyes. Only one of your reference photos really shows much color there, the others do not, or show some more speckledness. Google has some other pictures (link), which might clarify what is happening there. It seems to me that there can be a darker area (either softly colored or spotted) about where the bird would sit on an egg if it were female... somewhat oval shaped, and in the middle not at the sides. Nice!! There aren't really enough good reference pictures to really comment on the hooded fellow, but what I saw looks fine.
