Subject: Comic or cell shading looks in Poser 6

Can anyone tell me how I do obtain comic or cell shades looking render in Poser 6? I prefer the comic look, like in comics you can buy.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Although I have only tried it once, there is a button in the material room called "toon shade" (or something like that, I don't have Poser open right now).

Thanks, I've found it, but it didn't give me the wanted result yet.

Works GREAT!!! Just did this now after reading your post... try "reinitialize python" if it doesn't work... I've never gotten any errors but I remember reading that if it doesn't work the "reinitialize python" works!! G

If Reinitialising Python doesn't work, post the error message in the Python Scripting forum.

Make sure to say what Poser version, machine and OS your using.

It asks me to locate a file called ball.pp2. I've got no such file, but after reading the text file I figured out what the phyton script is looking for. I've located ball.ppz instead and that works fine. Just got to change the script now and start playing with it. Thanks!

CL has made some great improvements to the Cartoon and Cartoon w/Lines display modes, by the way.

From the display menu, you can control tone and specular highlights, or choose gradient shading rather than tones.

From the render settings panel, you can also adjust the width of the preview display's cartoon outlines.

Okay - I must be blind or stupid - but I have not found a download called "ockhams z-flatten z-toon script" anywhere in the freebies section - HOLLA if you can HELP ME! -Cathy :P

hey Cathy, in "FreeStuff" hit "Search" and type in z-toon... it'll be on the first page that comes up... I think it says z-flatten z-toon (python) or something like that!! Hope you find it... it's very cool... Also you can do a lot of cool comic type stuff with photoshop too... check my gallery for a couple of pics I did in Poser and then "2D'ed" them in PhotoShop.... Later! Gerard
