Yesterday, while visiting the Bryce free stuff section, I found a dagger that I really wanted. After downloading and unzipping I discovered it was a .3ds file. It's probably just my ignorance, but I assumed that anything found in the Bryce section would be importable into Bryce 4. No matter what I did, I couldn't use the image in Bryce. I even went so far as to download Rhino, [The readme file included said that was the program it was created in], hoping I could resave as an .obj or .obp file,It would save as .obj for lightwave, but that won't load either. Anybody out there got a spare clue they can let me have? Thanks

Are you using File/Import Object? What happens when you do?

Bryce 4 does import 3ds as well as many other mesh formats.

Yup...like I said, my own ignorance. File/import object did the trick. Thanks much!
