Subject: A metablob fighter craft

This fighter is made entirely from vue primitives-- booleans and metablobs. It took a while to get the hang of it. The wings were difficult-- I eventually made them from one sphere using negative blobs to get the shape.

That is fantastic and cool looking. Just saw the textured version. Very good.

wow, a lot of detail. Haven't played with blobs much. To me they are just that... blobs lol. Got to figure out landscapes first then might play. Very cool though.

Well apparently you got the hang of that then. Excellent.

That's a sweet piece of work you've created! I admire your skill and perseverence. :)

This is stunning work. I have been trying to get the hang of blobs, but without much luck. This is excellent work. If you ever find the time to make a tutorial on how you did this, or something like it, that would be excellent. Well done and thank you for showing me just how powerful and what can be done with the know-how:)

Very clever. The most I've ever made out of metablobs is more blobs. Nice work!

The Model and texturs are very well done. I didn't realize the uhh . . . power of the Blob :)

FANTASTIC! I love to see how far people can push a 3D package. Outstanding work!

Brilliant - an excellent job you did. Really impressive.

Wow. I thought my metablob Penguin submarine was good but this blows it away. What's a negative blob? And how did you manage that great texturing?

Cheers,
Mark

war2 ( ) posted Tue, 05 April 2005 at 1:46 AM

he means that the used the blobs to carve out the sphere

BigGreenFurryThing ( ) posted Tue, 05 April 2005 at 4:08 AM

I've never thought of using metablobs to create booleans. Something else to add to the "must try that" list. The trouble with Vue is there's so much in it to explore.

Cheers,
Mark
