Subject: Mike 1 and Mike 2 - What works, what doesn't?

Francemi ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 1:36 PM · edited Fri, 13 September 2024 at 4:17 AM

I've seen many places where it says stuff for Mike1 will fit Mike2 but I don't remember reading anything about faces (fc2). Does someone know if faces created for M1 will work on M2? Thanks.

I believe so. I've got a ton of faces, and I can't remember whose is whose anymore, but I think that's kosher. Give it a go, it won't hurt anything to try.

Thanks. I just didn't want to download stuff for nothing but faces are not big files after all. I will also try V1 faces for V2... forgot to ask about them. ;o)

Faces are essentially pose files for the head morph channels... if you use say a Mike1 pose on a Mike 2 figure it will spin the dials on the Mike1 channels it does find but give an error indicating not all parameters are available... who is to say what these partial poses will look like? This is my understanding :) Even the expression channels have a few differences in name between Millenium 1 and 2 I believe.

Thanks momodot. As I said, I will try them. I downloaded them at Poserworld so I had them for free (sort of). ;o)
