Click the Dock button in the upper-right corner of the Library Palette (it's next to the Close button). This will detach the Library from the side of the screen. Drag the Library to the middle of the screen. Resize the Library by dragging the lower-right corner. You can find more information in Chapter 15 of your reference manual (pages 84-85).
