Subject: How can I change the default 'Victoria' pose???

Does anyone know how to load 'Victoria' from the figures library so that she is not in her usual 'arms at the side' pose? I.e in the same 'Arms outstreached' pose as the P4 woman. I have tried 'Memorize Figure/All' but to no avail. I am sure this must be somehow possible. Thanks, Colm...

why doing this ... - just set your memorize drops with the prefered pose (these are the 9 small grey buttons (you can deselect them by clicking-left-mouse + alt). But if you really want to do this: Just pose your Vicky the way you want and save her after that in the figure-Ressource (e.g. my own-vicky ...) or use some of my poses - most of them fits for Vicky also ...

Yes, illusions... You seem to see where I am going. Unfortunately I tried your method four or five times and it didn't work..LOL I can't understand why. The way I have her set up is... She loads in her standard arms at the the side pose and I hit Edit/Restore/all and she moves into the zero pose... And yes you are right it does retain the MT info. But, what I really nead, is to be able to skip the 'Restore' command. It is for a professional job so I need her to look the way I intend her to be seen from the offset. Thanks for your help. If you have any futher suggestions it would be appreciated. Colm...

Colm: The recommendation by illusions is the correct one. I do this dozens of times a day with various characters based on Vicky, it is a simple process that works absolutely every time. You can pose a figure any way you please before saving it to the Library. All changes, including how you pose the figure at the time of your save to the library, will be saved. The "Restore" command will revert a figure to whatever way it was when you hit "Memorize," but that's a different issue. Library saves could not be more straight forward. The pose saved to the figure Library will show up in the thumbnail the way the figure will appear on your desktop next time you load it. You must be doing something that interferes with the normal, simple process of saving.

Well, I just set that silly P2 figure to the default T-shaped pose from the Pose library. When I brought in Vicki, she is in that pose. Then I just resaved her and she stayed that way. The one thing that bothers me the most is the position of her legs. I've tried to straighten them up and resave her, but she always comes back in with the legs bent slightly forward. Melanie

Thanks everyone... I think you guy's have hit the nail on the head. I am using Poser 4.02 on Win2K. Just never got around to upgrading. I have other issues that I think that may resolve too. I too believe that the process of saving to the figures library retains the pose information. You are right. It just doesn't do it on my system with this setup. I tried your other sugestion 'illusion' and I got exactly the same result. I also tried it on Syyds system, Win98' and it works fine, so I guess it has to be a bug. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. I will upgrade tomorrow and if it still doesn't work I will let you know and maybe I will contact 'Curious Labs'... Colm...

me what I prefer is to have poser to load without any figure, it is easier as I never play with the same one.

Thanks, Illusion, I'll try that. Melanie
