I am new at this night shot deal...I used my cams pre night mode. I think I would have better results if I learned how to do this manually. I have no idea. Since I have no idea...I just went w/the preset night mode, using the top of an auto to steady the shot. All I know is I think this photo kind of sucks. I am thinking less shutter duration may be something to try...for one...maybe higher ISO even? I have no idea. Anyways I applied more than my fair share of post work to this one using PS6. It is a picture of place where they store dead people before they bury them at the Catholic cemetary. If you have enough money then you can prob. reserve a room and gravesite here. Maybe you have to be Catholic too. I have no idea. Is this too much info.? Thanks for looking, -Peace :-)

jeff, dunno why you think it sucks because i sure do like it!!!! i've always liked being able to see inside a lit a building and see what people are doing... now don't go callin' me a peeper guys....i mean...if the curtains and shades are wide open, what are we supposed to do...close our eyes and not look? LOL! Jeff, you can always play around with those settings...tweak them a bit and see what changes occur. that's what i've been doing. go up or down on your exposure and check out the differences, etc. i can't use anything higher than a 100 ISO without tons of grain. I think you did a fantastic job! thanks for all the detailed info!

Looks fine to me :) If you had a slower shutter speed it would be a bit dark ! As Shiela said best way is to try on lots of different settings see which you like best. With your exif info you have a starting point at least. Thx for sharing this Richard

love what looks like foot prints leading toward/away from the building!!! very well captured!!! another thing you can do is to tripod mount it (i assume you already did it that way to begin with) and take a couple shots, one over exposed and the other under exposed then stack them in photoshop. this way when you blend them you'll have nice detail in the shadow areas with good lighting!!!
