The word "there" in the English language is an adverb, indicating direction. It is not permissible to use it as a substitute for the contraction "they're". Also, the use of the contraction itself is of dubious propriety in a written communication.

Also frowned upon is the lack of capitals at the beginning of sentences. Including incomplete sentences.

Additionally, the words 'yer' and 'ahrd' and 'wizbang' are not found in the Oxford English Dictionary.

One assumes the communiqumay not be complete, however, based upon the lack of period at the end. Perhaps these other mysteries will be cleared up in part two of the message.

Kristta, here is the source code for your requested software 100 print "Hello World" compile it in any basic language compiler for the system that you're looking to run it on. It will run bug free every time. ;) of course if you were to add a second line to the program I couldn't guarantee anything ohh and Opera, he's appearently using English XP we'll have to enter in change requests to fix all that in SR2. :p

Heck, it made as much sense has half the freshman research papers I've been grading this afternoon. Think about it folks: Tomorrows world leaders, today! The majority of my composition students are under the impression that a "D" is a good enough grade..it means they don't have to retake the class. Scares the daylights out of me to think that one of these kids will be writing international policy some day...

Maybe, just maybe, English isn't Soul Taker's main language? I know, who cares about non-English speakers, they're probably all terrorists. Sheesh. PS. If English IS Soul Taker's main language, it's time for an English refresher course.

Cedarwolf, I extend my sympathies to you. You must see carnage on the page every day. Did anyone ever turn in a paper written in Chat? For the record, I never comment on the quality of posts here -- this is a fun place and pretty much anything goes. This one time, it was done for sarcasm, thus the criticism of incomplete sentences with an incomplete sentence. It was my ironic way of objecting to the content. Speaking of the magic "D", here in Los Angeles they decided to end social promotion about 4 years ago. The advocates for this set a certain bar. You had to be passing English and History and reading at grade level to pass. As the 'grace' year passed and the first year ensued, it soon became evident to all that the bar was too high. Under the criteria fully 43% were projected to fail the K-12 system. The bar had to be lowered. As a result, you could fail all your classes and be reading way below your grade average, but as long as you got at least a D- in English, you were passed to the next grade. We now have an exit exam for High School graduation, and you also must accumulate the necessary credits to walk on graduation day, so it is possible to fail high school here. I will also report that systematic phonics-first is finally beginning to win the battle, to a degree, in K-3. ::::: Opera :::::

Open Question to Operaguy and Cedarwolf:

Q. If a singer sings, and a stinger stings, why doesn't a finger fing?

A. Because the English language was developed by the verbally insane!

to be completely frank "soultaker" is a known troll and was attempting yet again to rile the natives. Im glad to see members here apparently are adopting a new tactic at dealing with troll posts. Ignore the troll and start a light hearted counter thread replete with inside jokes, sports talk and impromptu book and movie reviews. Bravo!!!!

I am sure Cedarwolf and I could list many far worse irregularities in the language. I for one will take you conclusion as a fun hyperbole. Nonetheless, I will also turn it on its head: With 500,000 words, all derived from the keenest observation of reality by millions of minds in the past, it is a miracle of exacting identification and expression, a link to the human experience keeping us all sane. ::::: Opera :::::

For operaguy, how about eubonics as an alternate for angleash?

Ebonics is an excuse for "Unemployable." An Orwellian conspiracy of Byzantine intrigue designed to prevent the upward social movement of an entire class of individuals.

Ebonics = Newspeak for perpetual slavery.
