I am thinking about buying Poser 6 especially since it comes bundled with Shade for $99 (sale ends today). But does Jesse and all the P6 characters have any carry over from the Daz people? Can I use any clothes or characters (skins) from what I have been using from P5 or am I going to have to buy several hundred $$$ worth of new characters and new outfits? (And is Jesse and the other characters that hot anyway?) If I have to buy all new clothes etc., then this bargain may not be so great. Has anyone found that Shade is as intuitive as they claim or am I buying a years worth of frustration and a long learning curve? Advice please.

No, Jesse, James, and the rest cannot share clothing or textures with the DAZ figures. Or even the P5 figures.

Shade has a demo version. The only way to find out if you'll like it to try it.

You wouldn't have to buy anything for the new characters, as all your P5 stuff will work fine in P6. As far as I can tell, the new P6 characters aren't worth much anyway. There are no expression morphs for them. I'm still using the DAZ characters.

No, I goofed! Jessi and James do come with expression morphs. I'm sorry I didn't correct myself earlier but I just found them. I could have swore they weren't there before. Now I'm sure they don't come with body morphs (well only three, and they're pretty useless). So I'm still sticking with DAZ characters.

Yes, body morphs are very limited. Worse, they're jointed like Posette. I think that's one reason why they are so high-res. 50% more polys than V3, a lot of them at the joints, to get around the P4 rigging. They don't pose well at all.

There are many reasons to buy P6. James and Jessi aren't among them. :-P
