Subject: Please point to V3Male

I would like to play with V3 Male, I am hoping there is/are some free V3Male textures... can you point me to them? Morph/characters I don't know if I want but maybe I should look at. I am only finding commercial stuff on my own. Actually those links seem dead for that matter.

M3 textures work...

Yes, the joy of unimesh. M3 and David textures work just fine.

Er, M3 can use David textures? Why didn't someone say something about this?? Sheesh...now I gotta go find David textures...

I've been curious about this V3 to male figure. What clothing would you use on such a figure? It's still V3, but different proportions and male, so V3 girly clothes would look stupid, and it's not M3 so that wouldn't work.

There aren't a lot of clothes for him. Second skin clothes work. And some of DAZ's clothing has male morphs. The morphing fantasy dress, for example. No, you wouldn't want to dress "Victor" up in a princess gown, but it makes decent wizard robes, and some people have used transmaps to turn it into tunics, coats, etc.

Adding male morphs to V3's clothes using the Tailor works pretty well for non-girly clothes.

Interesting. Sounds like more trouble than it's worth though. I'd opt to go with M3 over that V3 male one because there are more options available for M3. I have never seen the result of V3 Male, but I assume it's an effeminate looking character, and there are a number of those available for M3.

Nah, I made a kick-butt looking dude out of Vicky before I decided to buy Mike. There are a lot of muscle morphs in the Vicky body morphs pack and you can really buff him up. He looks every bit as he-man as Mike does.

Efem dude is fine for me, all these poser guys are so butch, and it is cheaper for me that M3 since I can't afford the M3 head morph set to go with the free base mesh right now but I do have the V3 morph set and the Poserworld CD set that has a bunch of the V3Male clothes. That Poserworld stuff is what got me interested... I did not know the M3 textures worked... must check freestuff. Excelent. Thanks.

Here's V3 male in some PoserWorld clothes - the only place I know of to do them apart from DAZ. Can't remember where I got his texture from, but I suspect Universal Texture Convertor may have been involved. He is supposed to look a bit effeminate; it's just a front, though. ;)

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 07 April 2005 at 6:37 AM

The V3 Male was used before M3 existed. He was sort of a temporary thing, for people who wanted a higher-res male figure to go with V3. One M3 was released, the V3 male wasn't used much.

He could be made to look pretty manly. DAZ sold a separate male pack, I believe, with muscle morphs that could make him anything from 98 pound weakling to musclebound moose.

There's something of the same with V2, and Little_Dragon's Millenium Catwoman is based on the V2 body. Some clothing for the Classical World and Ancient Egypt from DAZ is apparently based on Vicky clothing such as the MFD, but I don't know if it's V2 or V3.
